Overview
The Crowley Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) was created as a special taxing district authorized by a vote of the residents.
The CCPD provides additional resources to assist the Crowley Police Department in combating crime problems and trends that result from growing populations.

- Gang graffiti and violence
- Vandalism
Of primary focus are:
- Reducing the fear of crime for residents and businesses of Crowley
- Enhancing the quality of life for everyone
- Contributing to the economic growth within the city
Duties
The CCPD Board is responsible for planning and budgeting for the one-half cent sales tax collection that was made available by the election. The CCPD also helps finance the crime control and crime prevention program for the city, including costs for:
- Police personnel
- Specialized equipment
- Vehicles
