Celebration of Freedom

The 2018 Celebration of Freedom is Saturday, July 7.



Please Note that Bicentennial Park will be temporarily  CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC on Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. to allow City Staff to set up and prepare for the Celebration of Freedom Event by City Council Action Resolution R02-2018-282.

Activities


  • The parade will begin at 10 a.m. from Crowley High School and end at Mission Street.
  • The festivities in Bicentennial Park will begin at 5 p.m. and will include:
    •  All-American Kid Contest
    • Food and craft vendors
    • Live music
    • Fireworks display at dark

Handicap Parking


Handicap parking is available next to the Community Center and you must show your placard or have handicap tags on your vehicle to park, as this is limited parking space. Additionally, you can only enter from Glendale Street.

Shuttle Parking


Shuttle Parking is at HF Stevens Middle School located at 940 North Crowley Road, with free service to and from the park. The shuttle begins at 4 p.m., and buses run every 15 minutes, with the last shuttle leaving the park at 11 p.m.

Entry Deadlines


July 2 - Parade Entry forms are due by 5 p.m.  Applications can be submitted at the Recreation Center (405 S. Oak) or City Hall (201 E. Main). 

July 3 - Baby Contest entry forms are due by 5 p.m. and must be submitted to the Library (409 S. Oak).
