Streamlined Fare Options for Crowley ZIPZONE

Trinity Metro has implemented two new fare options to make it easier to ride ZIPZONE, the agency’s on-demand rideshare service.

As of Sunday, ZIPZONE fares are included in the local daily, weekly, monthly and annual tickets. Anyone who has purchased one of these tickets can ride ZIPZONE for free, including transfers to and from Trinity Metro bus routes, TEXRail and Trinity Railway Express in Tarrant County. This offer does not apply to regional tickets.

Passengers can take advantage of this offer on ZIPZONE services in Near Southside, Mercantile and Crowley.

Another new option for ZIPZONE riders is the “plus 1” concept that allows a ZIPZONE rider to bring along a friend for $1 each way. This fare structure only applies to ZIPZONE services.

In addition, minor service modifications have been made to Route 7 University, Route 30 CentrePort Circulator and Route 111 Bell.

Crowley Zoning Code Update

The City of Crowley recently launched a new project to update its zoning and development regulations. Please check this page regularly for updates and ways to participate.

We’ve been talking with stakeholders (residents and businesses), and our consultant team has begun a code audit. A code audit is a review of existing regulations with the intent to find any areas that are unclear, outdated, inconsistent with other (local, state, or federal) regulations, or not in line with best practices. The consultant team will next prepare a report based on their findings.

On Dec. 14, the team will make a presentation to the Planning & Zoning Commission to review the results of the stakeholder interviews. The Planning & Zoning Commission is open to the public and begins at 7 p.m.
